(More customer reviews)We paid top dollar for our Casablanca Mission fan which we mistakenly believed was a top-of-the line product and a good company. We invested the extra money intending to make it part of our house - for life. The fan's computer based controller - without which this fan motor/light will not run at all - has failed for the second time, with the fan no longer responding to the controls, it is unusable. Casablanca claims their "lifetime warranty" was meant for the motor only and not the controller. This makes absolutely no sense at all, as the controller is physically part and parcel of the motor in this model, and the two are inseparable to operate the fan. Casablanca demanded upwards of $100 to replace the flaky controller, which we refused. For this money, a completely new, reliable ceiling fan can be bought. I feel Casablanca has failed to honor their warranty, and have employed a very poor and transparent word trick to avoid it. Do yourself a favor, avoid this fan, and avoid the Casablanca warranty (i.e. buy another brand).
