(More customer reviews)Out of all my living room furniture my Cortina 72" lamp has to be my crowning jewel.
It's tall, it's modern, it's like no floor lamp you've seen before.
The pros?
It's gorgeous, simply gorgeous.
You can set the dimmer to any light setting you want.
The cons?
It's expensive.
The acrylic shade on the outside of the lamp looks a lot like packing material.
When you unpack it, make sure you don't rip the shade right off.
The shade is just barely attached at the bottom of the acrylic tube.
I think it would have been better if the shade had in fact been some kind of permanent film, this shade WILL tear right off with relative ease and there is no way to reconnect it.
Not cool.
And it doesn't balance very well, I think a wider base would have been a good idea for the tall model.
I just lean it slightly against the back wall and it stays put just fine.
Those complaints aside, the Cortina lamp is a one of a kind statement of class and good taste.
A modern but timeless masterpiece.
