I did a lot of cross stitch and had just about given it up (with lots of uncompleted projects) because I could no longer see the higher count threads on the linens that I loved to work with. With this lamp, I can see everything so clearly and because of the florescent lighting no more mixing up the colors. I really like that it sits by itself on the table rather than clamping onto things and potentially falling over. Compared to other magnifying lamps on the market, this is very reasonably priced and well worth every penny. I can stitch again!!! Thanks
