(More customer reviews)I bought this lamp to replace another halogen lamp that finally broke on me after many years of use. It really works well in the space that I need it for. The 100-watt halogen bulb is more than bright enough, plus the floor dimmer will dim the light all the way to off. I bought it in black, which is a low gloss black finish. The lamp is fully adjustable, height-wise as well as angle-wise. The picture really doesn't do this lamp justice! It's sturdy too, with a heavy base, and arm adjustability that is firm and not too loose. The only thing bad I can say about it (and this probably goes for any halogen lamp) is that the lamp head really gets hot after it's been on a while...you don't want to touch it or even look into the bright light...but it's a great reading lamp!!
