I looked at a lot of floor lamps, and you can easily spend 2 or 3 times as much - doubtful whether you get money's worth compared to this lamp. It comes with all wire connections made in a styrofoam box - you only have to screw the pieces together. It is heavy, which I judge a plus, and seems well made. The shade ships in a separate box and was well packed - no damage. I would buy again.

This antique brass floor lamp is among the best reading lights we\'ve found. Easily adjustable swing arm pivots to deliver light just where you need it. Off-white shade provides a nice accent up top. Takes one 150 watt bulb (not included). Measures 57 1/2" high. Shade measures 6" across the top, 14" across the bottom and 10" on the slant.
