The only reason I paid the premium price was due to its non-availability elsewhere. I had to spend over 3 hours completely rewiring the entire floor lamp. It simply breaks my heart to spend so much money on trash manufactured in a 2nd rate foreign country. Yes, I could have just returned the lamp. But I truly needed the product so as to match my existing table lamps and Amazon.com was the only avenue for purchase. Lesson learned. Amazon.com simply sells garbage.
