(More customer reviews)I bought two of these lamps for a room without any overhead lighting. I needed something that would illuminate the whole room, and this was the only non-halogen lamp I could find that put out 300 watts (2-150 watt bulbs) of light.
The lamp is easy to put together and reasonably stable. I like the unique design. The only on/off switch is a step switch on the floor. This is only a problem when my toddler starts playing with it.
The only drawback is that the bowl of the lamp is too shallow to cover the 150 watt lightbulbs so you can see the tops of them from across the room.
All in all, though, I'm happy with my purchase.

Metal 300 watt incandescent floor lamp has three metal poles that extend from the flat round base to the metal bowl shade. In addition to providing up-light, the shade also casts light downward through 7" frosted glass disk. Foot step switch.
