(More customer reviews)The lamp was shipped and received at the specified dates, it arrived in excellent condition and was very easy to assemble. It was purchased for my 77 year old mother who loves to embroider but needs help with small stitches and a lighted surface. And because she likes to sit in front of the TV and not at a table, the floor lamp style was perfect for her working area. My largest concern was the stability of the floor lamp on carpet. The lamp performs excellently on carpet and the base is heavy enough that it is stable and does not tip easliy. The arm can be positioned with ease so that it takes very little effort or movement to get the lamp in the right place and then easy to put away once the task is complete by just using the arm to push away from the area. I was concerned that the light would be too warm but it remains adequately cool. The surface of the magnifier is the perfect dimension for sewing projects for my mother. The added feature of the magnifier cover allows the light to be used independently without the distraction of the magnifier which is a very nice feature when mother just needs extra light. The casters allow the lamp to be relocated to another room with ease considering my mother is 77 years old. I would highly recommend this product to others.
