(More customer reviews)I love this floor lamp not just because it looks great, but because the story behind it is amazing. Made of brushed nickel, it looks like a million bucks with a heavy, sturdy base and easy assembly. There are there points of flexibility, making the lamp usable for just about any height, position or use. Although equal to a regular 100-watt bulb, the natural daylight (flicker free) bulb is a reading lamp making it very easy on your eyes. The bulb is unique with full spectrum wattage and claims to last 6,000 hours. I immediately placed it next to my sofa where I like to sit and read. The bulb light is perfect for reading and relaxing. There is only one setting for brightness, but it seems to work very well. The craftsmanship of the lamp is heavy duty and obviously meant to last for years. It is elegant and matches my furniture.
The story behind my lamp is nothing short of amazing. Good service is hard to come by these days with outsourcing and poor management. When my lamp did not arrive on time from Superior Lighting and I received no Email, I did what I hate to do and left a negative comment. Within hours, the Marketing Manager of Premier Appliance contacted me and explained that they had a serious flood in the factory and the last lamp was destroyed. I also noticed an immediate refund to my account. Superior Lighting also offered me a generous discount on another purchase, but I thanked them, stating that I will wait for another lamp. When I arrived home later that day, the lamp I ordered was waiting for me. I had no idea how this happened, but this is the kind of remarkable experience in service that you rarely hear of. I later discovered that Superior Lighting is rated the #1 appliance retailer of 2007 on EBAY. There is obviously a very good reason.
